The meaning of life

Exploring the meaning of life, which seems to be a serious topic. I think I am not mature enough to say that I have discovered the meaning of my own life. However, from the past 18 years, I have found something about life, or if I could say, something about the meaning of life.
When I was a little girl, I ddid not know much about the world. At that time, world was a big island and life was an endless dream in my mind. All the meaning of life was just the candy. Life was so simple that I could easily be satisfied .
Gradually,I found that my life is not only my own life, it also related to others' . I knew that there is a thing called responsibility. I should play a lot of roles ,like daughter, student, sisiter etc, making life not as easily as I dreamed. I must learn to respect others, think about others' feelings, sometimes even sacrifice something. My life became heavy and I was always missing, thinking whether what I did or decided was right or wrong. Then , I thought out my own understands of them. Again and again , I lost and found myself. Life turned to be a cycle of losing and finding. During these cycles , I became maturer and maturer.
There is still a long way for me to go. I donot know where life will lead me,but I know the cycle will not stop, the same as my thinking will never stop.

Thanks, Chen Pei, for your post! I appreciate your effort, and I like the way you focus on the various roles that you play in life.

Hello, I thought the same thing as you did when I was a child. I thought that myself was my own, and I didn't have to care about others. But, as I'd lived my life longer, I found out that relationships to others are really important for life. Now, I'm really trying to improve my social-relationship with others and not only concerned about myself.

I guess in my country there is this advantage that you grow up knowing and realizing how important your family is to you and friends as well...so I can say I am lucky in a way:)
