Saving nature,just for man?

In the aricle, the auther said,"A sane environmentalism is entirely anthropocentric: it enjoins man to preserve nature, but on the gounds of self-preservation". I am quite amazing to see this sentense, as always I was tought that" Hey , girl ,to protect our environment . We have only one earth", which indicated nature was over man. But thinking it deeply, I found that what the article elucidates was actually true.

The reason why we want to protect our nature or our earth is not to show sympathy over other creatures. If yes,our ancestors would not make so many creatures be extinct. What makes us now take actions to protect the environment is that the bad ecosystem or pollution has threatened our humans' own benefits. Assume that we have found another planet that is exactly the same with the earth or is much better than our earth and it is costless to move there, will you appeal for the urgency to protect Mother earth any more?

Somewhat I am disappointed about our morality. Hoho, I need to establish my confidence upon human.

Are you "Green"?

Are you "green" ? Hehe, do not be surprised about this question. I am not asking you if your skin is green, but whether you concern with the environment or not.
A green person, obviously, is a person who is deeply concerned with the environment. He believes that he can make contributions to the environment. However, the person who is not green does not think so. He never thinks what he does will have an impect on the environment , as an individual seems to be so small compared with the big topic "environment".
A green person will always do things that are helpful to our environment. He won't throw rubbish everywhere. He won't leave with the tap leaking. He will take a bus or MRT if time is allowed. He will buy the products - like certain cars and stereos – which are made specially to save energy.
A person who is not green is different. It is said that the Tiananmen Square is full of cachous after the national day. A not green person is always such a person. He do not care about the environment. He likes to do whatever he wants regardless of the bad influence. He will make noise even though it is late at night. He will spit everywhere even though nearly everyone disagrees with him. Hoho, so 'cool ' as a not green person.

climate change

There are several reasons causing the climate change in China. Roughly, we divide them into two kinds, one is natural factor and the other is human factor.

Many natural factors lead to the climate change, such as the volcano eruption, the change of orbit around the earth and solar radiation. But these are not the main catalysts and cannot be controlled by humans. What really matters and can be controlled is human activities that result in the rapid climate change in China.

According to IPCC Third assessment report, the main climate change is global warming. Global warming is caused in part by the emission of greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide and methane. These gases are emitted naturally. They are also the result of burning fossil fuels, especially coal and petroleum products. In recent years, because of the industrial development and the increase in number of cars ,buses and other vehicles, more and more greenhouse gases are emitted，which make the global warming problem more and more serious.

miss friends and relatives in China

This is the first chinese new year I celebrate without the my parents' accompany.
A lot friends sent their wishes to me, and a lot previous classmates talked with me about the life in college and their way celebrating new year's eve . They said such a lot , making me miss my life in China so much.
Coming to Singapore alone is a choice made by myself, but sometimes I still think that if only I have not made such a decision . I have so many friends in hometown, but the long distance and vocations in different timeslots make our communication very difficult. At previous, I ate, slept , done my homework together with them .But now, I should do these things alone. This makes me very longly and miss them very much.

How to deal with the repollution of river

The river in my hometown, which is called Wenruitang River, was seriously polluted . More and More people called for the river to be cleaned. As a response, the government of Wenzhou has worked out a 16-year-plan to clean the river. Up to present, the government has spent billions of money .However, the result is not as good as expected. The river is repolluted quickly. Then ,what should the government do?

The Wenzhou government has paid attention to this situation and taken a lot of measures .They set up the forum of Wenruitang River , solicited articles whose topic is protecting the mother river and called up the public to protect through newspaper, radio and other media. No denying that these activities are necessary , but they are not efficient enough.

To protect the river from repolluting, I think the government should punish the people or factories pouring waste into the the river. To the citizen, the government should send inspector to each part of river to . To the factory, the government can shut down the illegal and organise inspected visits to the legal . As there are too many so-called legal factories which are actually illegal, the government should paid much more attention to these legal ones, who in my opinion are the main pollution markers.

river problem

As the picture showed, the river in my hometown----Rui'an , is very very dirty.The river is full of gargagess, making the water smelly and there is even no fish in it.

Since 2000, the government has spent 2 billion in renovating the river. But as a result, the river turned to be dirty again just a few months after renovating.

So my question is that what action should the government of China take to deal with such a situation.
